Practically everyone has a special connection to wood, because it is an original and natural building material. Finstral offers windows with solid oak or spruce wood veneer in 14 different colours for the room side, where wood is particularly durable and easy to care for because it is protected against the weather. At the Finstral plant in Oppeano, near Verona, wood from regional sources – spruce from South Tyrol, oak from Slovenia – is profiled, cut to size, treated with water-soluble and thus environmentally friendly paints, then finally assembled into a finished window. Whether using hard or soft wood, as the functional window core is always made of hard PVC, Finstral needs less wood than other manufacturers to achieve the aesthetic effect of a solid wood window – thus making a contribution to sustainability along the way.
