House near Bologna

This villa in Italy looks almost like a castle from the outside. Few windows prevent outsiders from peeking inside. Exactly as the owners intended. To permit as much light as possible to enter the building, however, it was decided to build around a central courtyard featuring extensive glazing. Large windows were only installed on the façade at the side of the house that did not adjoin other buildings.
