Elegantly insulating windows in a wooden house in the forest.
Hidden among the trees, this single-family house with its Scandinavian ambience blends harmoniously into the forest landscape while radiating a natural tranquillity. Slim aluminium frames permit maximum light incidence in the rooms and lend the building its elegant quality. The large glass surfaces and the fact that some windows are even with the grass outside blur the boundaries between interior and exterior. The frames are exposed to direct weathering – but this poses no problem for the robust aluminium frames, which can withstand sun, rain, storms, hail or snow.
The PVC core and narrow profiles ensure outstanding insulation values. Modern insulating glass protects better than the frame, meaning that the higher the proportion of glass to frame, the better the overall insulation value of each window. This value is further improved by high-quality glass coatings and thermally insulated glass spacers (Finstral mitre-cuts and corner-welds these, rather than bending them).
