Windows, window walls & lift-and-slide doors of aluminium-wood.
Ytong stone, wood, glass: the client treated himself to this trio of materials in this elegant new building near Como. The boundaries between nature and building merged in the process. The large glass surfaces open the rooms to the outside and would remain almost unnoticed if they were not smoothly interspersed with slender window frames of light oak on the inside and dark aluminium on the outside.
The villa was built to the highest energy efficiency standards: non-gas heating, energy supplied by photovoltaic panels or solar collectors – and perfectly insulated windows. The PVC in the core and the thermally insulated spacers offer a high degree of insulation as well as energy and cost savings. The large glass surfaces and especially narrow Nova-line Plus frames ensure bright and airy rooms with maximum light incidence, while the Max-Valor triple insulation glazing means that the naturally produced heat remains inside in winter while keeping the heat outside in summer.
