Attached glazing bars for a modern old-building look.
A little old farmhouse, initially barely more than a ruin, has been transformed into a modern, 140 m² villa. The renovation work revealed beautiful elements that had previously been hidden between cornices and attic spaces. Together with the windows, the balcony doors with their glazing bars combine tradition and modernity; the grey aluminium tone and the modern Ferro- and Nova-line frame designs radiate a charming industrial loft style; while the attached glazing bars add a historical, clearly structured touch to the urban style. Spacers in the insulating glass make it appear as if the glazing bars are really dividing the glass.
The property has also been functionally upgraded, with a photovoltaic system plus batteries that eliminate the need for gas heating. In addition to the insulating materials in the building envelope, the windows with PVC in their cores, the coextruded centre seals and the welded corners all make for outstanding insulation. The result is a traditional home that offers complete, up-to-date comfort.
