A new hut with windows by Finstral.
Finstral delivered its products by helicopter, right on time, to a new hut located at 2,734 metres above sea level. A pressure equalisation valve, installed during production, and the slow ascent of the helicopter ensured that the window glass would not shatter, break or bend during the flight. Once arrived at the top, four robust installers, all with a good head for heights, fitted the windows directly on the steep slope; the work required two phases totalling ten days.
The entry door and frames of the windows and walls feature aluminium on both the inside and the outside. The exterior frames match the style of the façade and roof, while those inside lend the rooms a modern, elegant character. In functional terms, aluminium is the perfect material, as it is resistant to extreme weather conditions and is dimensionally stable. The triple glazing is designed with laminated safety glass on the outside to prevent the glass from breaking under heavy snow loads.
