Maximum glass for maximum open spaces.
Glass as far as the eye can see: the large glass walls and lift-and-slide doors in this new building near the Belgian port city of Antwerp open up spaces as if there were no boundary to the outside. On the sofa, you feel as if you were sitting in the living room and in the garden at the same time. With their slender design, the windows blend almost unnoticed into the rooms. The slim and elegant black frames of the individual elements emphasise the flowing transition from inside to outside, while ensuring maximum visibility and – in good weather – maximum light incidence.
The flat thresholds of the lift-and-slide doors ensure barrier-free transition, while the absence of deep grooves means that they are very easy to clean. All elements offer optimum thermal insulation, because more glass and narrower frames provide better insulation – all thanks to the heat-insulating argon gas in the gap between the panes. The PVC in the core also means that the frame itself provides outstanding insulation. The house is secured by means of an elegant grey FIN-Door entry door.
